Thread Order

Postby Lee DeRaud » Thu May 10, 2012 3:36 pm

I have thread/topic order set to 'descending by post date' in the user CP. For most of the subforums, it displays fine: the threads with the newest responses show up at the top. But the 'Product Support (Build Your CNC)' subforum shows the threads is some seemingly random fixed order: the threads with the lastest posts are maybe 8 or 10 down from the top, almost like a bunch of threads got marked 'sticky' for no apparent reason.

Not a huge deal, but odd trending toward annoying.

Those threads are "stickied" (the icon is slightly different, so you can tell). They always stay at the top, because people are always looking for the information in those posts (so otherwise they post the same question over and over).
If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?

Ah, thanks. Had to look at them on my other computer to see the difference; on the laptop, it's too subtle to notice until you know what to look for.

Thanks for that answer. I thought that it was my iPad causing a problem. Been noticing for over a year that this was out of order but did not notice the taletell icon difference.

Another mystery solved by Awsomeness!

Thanks
