Zero plate for Z Axis - Digitizer light issue

Zero plate for Z Axis - Digitizer light issue

Postby cpd3020 » Mon Sep 12, 2016 2:04 am

Hello,

I have an older Blackfoot 4x8 with the original parallel BOB. I am trying to configure a Z axis zero plate.

I watched this video which was very thorough:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4DeVa8rzA0

When I went to test the connection which is verified on the diagnostic screen, the Digitizer light is already illuminated before i try to connect the wires for the zero plate.

Does anyone know why this would be the case or what would trigger it? I have the new zero probe wire plugged into the port on the BOB that says 13, and the "ground wire" connected to the common 5v negative.

Thanks in advance,
Shane

Well after a bit more research I found my issue so I'm sharing it in case someone else has the issue.

I have the cnc4pc.com C10 board and the INPUT jumper has to be changed to PULL UP and life was good.

When running mach3 with the machine off the digitize button comes on as a safety. Once I powered up the cnc itself, the light turns off and the zero plate wire works as it should.

Hopefully it helps someone.

Thanks
Shane
